The CAIR-CA Political Action Committee (CAIR-CA PAC) was established in 2004 and is the largest Muslim-American PAC. CAIR-CA PAC was instrumental in supporting the launch of many campaigns including Keith Ellison, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar.

For the American Muslim community to be a pivotal and respected force in shaping a just and equitable society through its direct involvement in the political process.

MISSION:

CAIR CA PAC is a nonpartisan political action committee dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights and interests of the American Muslim Community by recruiting, supporting, electing, and holding candidates and elected officials accountable at the local, state, and federal levels.

How we endorse: 

Our endorsement process is comprehensive and considers multiple factors. These include candidates’ voting records, public statements, their relationship and engagement with the Muslim community, and feedback from local leaders. By carefully evaluating these criteria, we ensure that our endorsements align with our mission and the interests of the Muslim-American community.

Given the ongoing tragedy in Gaza (Palestine), the CAIR-CA PAC has made it a top priority this election year to back candidates who advocate for an end to the violence fueled by US funding. While our community holds various concerns, it has emphasized the importance, for this election, of supporting individuals who prioritize human life and denouncing those who facilitate the senseless killing of innocent civilians. 

 Our commitment to these values is rooted in our leadership and decades of experienced policy advocacy. We have tirelessly worked to establish and nurture relationships with policymakers, ensuring that the voices of Muslim – Americans are heard and respected in the halls of power. Through strategic engagement and collaboration, we strive to enact meaningful change that reflects our community’s values and aspirations.
